The North York Moors National Park was established in 1952 to protect the special landscapes within north-east Yorkshire and is managed by the North York Moors National Park Authority. The policies affecting a potential development site in the Moors are found in the adopted Local Plan, the National Planning Policy Framework, and, if relevant, the neighbourhood plan (not all locations are covered).
